November Monthly Meeting

The Pagosa Peak Genealogical Society (PPGS) will hold its regular monthly meeting this Saturday, November 7.  A very special program will be presented by West Jackson.

Come join us for a presentation by West Jackson. He is not only a Pagosa native but also an avid rail fan. His presentation will be a general overview of historic railroads in Colorado, keying in on railroads in Southern Colorado. Lines to be discussed are the Denver & Rio Grande system, the San Juan Extension, the Rio Grande & Pagosa Springs Railroad, the Rio Grande, Pagosa & Northern Railroad and the Pagosa Lumber Company. It’s full steam ahead as we learn about the history of what kept Pagosa running in the early 1900’s.
